23. Development of faculty’s professional knowledge - critical demand for higher education in Vietnam in international integration era

ABSTRACT: For each level of education in Vietnam, especially undergraduate level, profession of teacher plays an important role in asserting the quality as well as the brand of the university. It can be said that teacher’s professional development is the urgent need in order to help Vietnamese education access the level of advanced education in the world. This article focuses onea some aspects of teacher’s professional development in undergraduate level in Vietnam today; inclu: the importance of teacher’s professional development; the requirements for the teacher in new age ding;tcher’s professional development models and some suggestions to enhance the effectiveness of teacher’s professional development work.
