ABSTRACT: Inquiry Based- Learning (IBS) is the active, learner-centered teaching approach in which instead of just presenting the facts or the truths, tearchers raise questions, hypothesis, scenarios to encourage students to acquire the knowledge based on their own investigations and perspectives. Asking rich questions is the essence of IBL and the role of a teacher is important to supporting and motivating the students to actively learn. The purpose of the article is to introduce the application of IBL in high schools in Florida, USA.
