16. Teaching foreign languages by the critical method

ABSTRACT
Discussion is a popular method which helps students present their personal opinions and listen to others' opinions on a learning topic, in order to build the ability to express and answer questions, to agree on a common topic. Contrary to discussion is the debate, a way of giving an individual's opinion to persuade others to follow it, which in teaching is called critical method, that is, always giving opinions contrary withthe desire that the opponent agrees. This is also a new teaching method, very suitable for teaching foreign languages in the context of today's globalized society
