04. 5ES and reforming teaching methods to improve the quality of higher education

ABSTRACT: Higher education in Vietnam has been experiencing the pressure of regional and international integration in preparing students who are expected to be capable in doing their job after graduation. In order to respond to this demand, educational reform has implemented and teaching methodology is one of the priorities of this process. 5Es instructional model is considered as effective approach to align with this reform. The paper describes and discusses the application of 5Es model in Vietnam context, the challenges are pointed out and the suggestions are also proposed in this paper.
