The effects of Facebook on the attitudes and learning motivation of English language students

Tóm tắt: The purpose of this thesis is to examine the usefulness of using social networks for first-year English majors. The author wants to find out how Facebook affects the attitude and motivation to learn English at Thu Dau Mot University. A Google Form was used to create a questionnaire form. The questionnaires are made up of 14 questions. Research results indicates that students are aware of the benefits of using Facebook to study English, and they also believe that Facebook has a significant impact on their attitude and motivation to learn English, according to the findings.  The study contributes to a better understanding of the advantages of using Facebook to learn English by assessing Facebook’s significant impact on students’ attitudes and motivation to learn English as well as how to successfully utilize Facebook to learn a significant amount of knowledge and improve English abilities using information gathered from social media at free of charge.
