ABSTRACT
This article has three purposes: (a) to make sense of terms (administrator, leader, and manager)commonly used in higher education; (b) to examine global and national trends that are affecting the work of higher education administrators; and (c) to suggest the type of training the higher education administrators need to fulfill their responsibilities.
