13. The current situation of building school culture in the direction of motivating teachers to work at primary schools in District 11, in Ho Chi Minh City

ABSTRACT

School culture is one of the factors that clearly affects the work motivation of teachers. To encourage and motivate teachers to work, school administrators need to pay attention to building school culture with specific contents such as building and sharing mission, vision, and core values of the school; implementing democracy in schools; developing professional for teachers; building positive relationships, encouraging teachers’ morale; building environment, landscape, workspace. On the basis of these contents, the study conducted a survey of 112 teachers and administrators to assess the current situation of building school culture towards creating work motivation for teachers in primary schools in District 11, Ho Chi Minh City.
