11. English learning motivation of non-English major students a study at Nong Lam University

ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to evaluate the motivation of non-English major students. Quantitative research design was applied. Primary data were collected by questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics with the support of SPSS 22.0 software. The findings show that students in the research sample have a high level of motivation for learning English, including instrumental motivation and integrative motivation. Besides, the analysis results also show a statistically significant difference between instrumental motivation and integrative motivation, in which instrumental motivation is higher than integrative motivation.
