13. Developing models of a smart library at universities in Ho Chi Minh City

The development of science and technology and the advancement of information and communication have opened up new opportunities for the transformation of libraries in universities. With the application of the achievements of modern technology, libraries have made significant strides in both the manner of operation and the scale of development. Traditional libraries have been replaced by virtual libraries and smart libraries. To increase information resources "unlimitedly" and create equality in information access and exploitation for all types of users, save costs, avoid wastage, libraries are tending to link together, share and use the same library resources together. Libraries of universities need to have smart library models, innovate thinking, technology and operation to be able to share intangible information resources with all users around the world without any barriers.
