14. Three approaches in definition of capacity

ABSTRACT:

Competence-based education has recently become an important trend in educational reforms in many countries around the world, including Vietnam. The application of the concept competence and competence-based education in building and developing educational programs requires indepth studies on the origin and nature of these concepts. This paper focuses on the rationales for embracing competencebased education, thereby explaining different approaches in defining competences. Understanding these different approaches would help researchers, program designers, and educators understand the complexities of implementting competence-based education into practices
