05. Applying the interactive access during literature lecture (English - America) in English for student of English faculty in Ba Ria - Vung tau University

ABSTRACT

This research article reports the findings of the application of a new approach to the teaching of literature in English to English majors of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the Ba Ria - Vung Tau University. The author of this article sees the teaching of literature (English - US) in English as part of the teaching of English to help students improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, with reading and comprehending the literary text as the main skill. The success in experimental classes carried out at the Ba Ria - Vung Tau University during the two years of 2013 and 2014 opened up the possibility to apply a new method of teaching and studying literature aiming at promoting a learner - centered approach and the interaction between student - text, student - student and student - teacher.
