15.Current situation of connection with employers through internship modules for students in education management major in accordance with professional orientation

ABSTRACT

The main objective of this paper is to share practical experiences that have been applied in the Department of Education, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, National University of Ho Chi Minh City in renovating training activities of practical-internship modules for students in Education Management major through connecting with employers from designing to deploying these modules in the direction of enhancing experience and hands-on practice for students. On the basis of applying the method of studying theoretical documents combined with the method of surveying by questionnaires and focus group interviews with employers and alumni in Educational Management Major, the paper presents the overview of theoretical basis about the role of stakeholders (including employers) in ensuring the quality of higher education in general along with the description and analysis of survey results, feedback, suggestions of employers about the curriculum and training activities in Education Management major for the period 2015-2018. Especially, the outstanding contribution of this article is to clarify the reality of connecting with employers in designing and implementing practical - internship modules as a particular case for reference in innovation, improving the quality of higher education today.
